Do's For Relocating

Do have a pre-approved mortgage in place before you arrive allowing you to know exactly what you wish to spend on your new home.
Do make a list of your "needs" and "wants" in a home. Make sure you to bring the list with you as it will help you in the homebuying process.
Do bring a list of sizes of large furniture items and present room sizes. It is often difficult to judge just by looking at a room.
Do make sure you work with only one agent while on your househunting trip as it saves duplication and that agent will know exactly what you are looking for.
Do make sure to involve your children. While on your househunting trip, take pictures of their new home, school and other things of interest to them.
Do let your agent know the dates of your househunting trip so they can be available during this time to work hard and make it a pleasurable experience.
