Do's For Homebuyers

Do have a pre-approved mortgage in place. This allows you to know exactly how much you wish to spend on your new home.
Do drive around different areas and decide which area you wish to live.
Do deal with only one agent whom you feel compatible with, as your agent will have your best interests at heart and have access to all the homes that are on the market.
Do limit the number of homes seen at one time as looking at too many can get very confusing.
Do make a list of your wants and a list of your needs. Bring this list with you as it can help greatly in the homebuying process.
Do, if possible, get a babysitter as taking children can distract your attention from the homes you view.
